The word "Veldskoen", or commonly known as 'Vellies', was first documented by Dutch settlers arriving in Southern Africa almost 400 years ago. It means "field shoes." However, according to Khoisan tribal folklore, there were leather shoes, cut from a single hide, being made and worn by the tribe, as far back as 1000 years before that. It forms a rich part of Namibian and South African History, Heritage and Tradition.

Our Vellies are made from quality full-grain leather, lined with luxurious suede, constructed using the stitch-down method and feature an incredibly comfy inner padding and a high-quality, anti-slip rubber sole. All sizes are true to size so you can order your actual foot size (UK SIZES). These Vellies are guaranteed to be comfortable from the first time you put them on.
